Indications
Indicated for Goitre (eutyroid goitre), prevention of goitre recurrence after goitre surgery (relapse prophylaxis after strumectomy), as concomitant therapy when taking medication for the treatment of thyroid overactivity (hyperthyroidism) after normal function has been achieved, thyroid underactivity (hypothyroidism), after total surgical removal of the thyroid gland (thyroidectomy) due to thyroid carcinoma.

Indications
Velthrom is indicated for:
- Drug treatment of hyperthyroidism, especially in slight or absent thyroid enlargement (goitre) as well as in younger patients
- Preparation for surgery in all forms of hyperthyroidism
- Preparation of patients with hyperthyroidism for planned radioiodine treatment to prevent the risk of a thyrotoxic crisis after therapy
